ThereKit
Travel tools that stay useful offline
Understand a price, find a phrase, and check the time without depending on a connection. ThereKit is a free survival kit for travelers and digital nomads.
For the first days in a new country
ThereKit is for English-speaking travelers, especially people from the United States landing somewhere new. Convert a price into money you understand, translate typed text, show a useful phrase, and compare home time with local time. It works in the other direction too, for example for a visitor from Korea in the United States. The core tools work offline. There is no account, no ads, and no in-app purchase.
Four everyday tools
Money and Units
Convert money, price by weight, and common travel units. All 29 supported currencies are included, with saved reference rates and manual-rate support.
Translate
Type or paste text and translate it between English and the twelve phrase languages, in any pair. Translation runs on your device. On iOS 18 and later, Apple’s Translation framework handles the pairs it supports after you download those languages. Malay, and all pairs on iOS 17, use an optional local model that you download once. After the downloads, Translate works offline. An on-device system voice can read each translation aloud.
Phrase guide
Search practical travel phrases by English meaning or local wording. Twelve language packs with 100 phrases each come with the app. Their text and audio work offline. Open the phrase guide from Translate.
Time
Compare home, destination, and more places. Time-zone calculations use the device clock and time-zone data.
Designed for the trip, not the signal
Core conversions, bundled reference rates, unit tools, time zones, and included phrase content operate locally. Translate also runs on the device and works offline after its downloads. ThereKit uses a connection only to update exchange rates and to download the translation files you choose.
